ABC Aug 23 filed comments with OSHA regarding a proposed rule that would change the general industry standards for safety requirements related to ladders, scaffolds and fall protection.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Aug. 13 announced that it will be withdrawing a key portion of the new stormwater management regulations for construction sites, the Effluent Limitations Guidelines (ELG), originally published in Dec. 2009.

On August 13, 2009, ABC filed comments with Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council in response to a proposed rule to implement Executive Order 13502, which encourages federal agencies to require PLAs on federal construction projects via the Federal Aquisition Regulation (FAR) Council "FAR Case 2009-005, Use of Project Labor Agreements for Federal Construction Projects".
